Anas International signed a contract with the Hellenic Asset Development Fund for surveys on the road pavement of the Egnatia Highway. The surveys will be carried out on a road section of about 1900 km which includes not only the Egnatia highway but also three vertical connections to important centers of Hellenic Peninsula.
“This new contract in Greece”, declared Bernardo Magri’, CEO of Anas International – “despite its relatively modest value, has a considerable strategic importance”. As a matter of fact, not only it confirms the appreciation of our technology abroad, but also opens the road to the penetration of a Country located in an area of prime interest for Anas International. AIE has already branches in other countries of the Balkans, namely Russia and Georgia, and is presently working to extend its activities in Armenia.

Concession of highway in Guatemala

The selection of partner is open. Anas International short-listed for the concession of the Escuintla – Puerto Quetzal highway, South section, in Guatemala. 
Anas International is one of the 5 companies short-listed for the refurbishment, management, operation &maintenance, ancillary works and tolling of the South section of the Escuintla – Puerto Quetzal highway. 
The tender is promoted by ANADIE, the National Agency designated to define and grant contracts for those projects selected by CIV (Ministerio de Comunicaciones, Infraesructure y Vivienda) that contribute to the economic development of Guatemala.
CIV goal is to upgrade the existing road connection recurring to PPP. The estimated investment amounts to 60 mill USD with a duration of max 30 years.
The Anas International will submit a proposal in three steps (design, construction and operation & maintenance) that will cover the entire life cycle of the road structure.
It will include the refurbishment of the existing carriageways, the design and construction of 4 grade separators with the relevant acceleration and deceleration lanes, equipment of toll stations and of service areas and road signing. For further details, click here to see the project presentation.
Anas International is looking for a partner for the construction activities and for the establishment of the special purpose vehicle foreseen in case of awarding. Libya - After a long stop, AIE resumes the activities for the Ras Ejdyer – Emsaad highway, the structure crossing the entire country and connecting the Tunisian and the Egyptian borders.
The contract awarded to PMC Mediterraneum, the consortium led by AIE has a value of 125,5 mill/€ and a foreseen duration of 72 months.
The construction of the highway is included among the works foreseen by the Treaty of Friendship signed in 2008 and recently resumed by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano. The highway will be financed, in compliance with the above-mentioned Treaty, by the Italy for an amount not exceeding 5 bill. US $. The Treaty also foresees that the works will be carried out entirely by Italian Companies.
The Treaty was one of the themes dealt with in the First Italian-Libyan Economic Forum, opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Alfano and by the Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Maitig. The forum was attended by the representatives of main Italian business, financial and consultant companies together with the top management of the Libyan government. AIE was represented by Federica Ribechi, Chairman of PMC Mediterraneum.

AIE signs an agreement in Argentina

During the official visit of President Mattarella and of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Alfano in Argentina Anas International Enterprise signed an agreement with the Province of Santa Fe for the development and implementation of a quality assurance system for road pavements. The agreement puts into effect the engagements taken in September through the cooperation agreement and foresees consulting services for the development and implementation of a quality assurance-quality control system for road pavements. The activities will include a purposely- developed quality assurance manual, a specific software for the quality assurance assessment of the project and training activities for auditors. The expected duration is estimated in 18 months for a total amount o the contract of 1,200 mill/Euro.
Anas International Enterprise has planned to open a Branch in Argentina to properly manage the contract.

AIE in Uruguay with President Mattarella

Anas International Enterprise was a member of the selected delegation of Italian companies that accompanied President Mattarella in his official visit in Uruguay.
On this occasion Anas International Enterprise took part to high-level meetings with local representatives, confirming its interest in working in the Country.
As a matter of fact AIE and CND (the National Authority for the Development of the Country) have recently signed a technical, economic and financial agreement for the development of transport infrastructures. The agreement, that was signed at the Italian Embassy in Montevideo, is a peer to peer agreement aiming at identifying the most appropriate technical, legal and financial tools to develop an efficient infrastructural system.

Armenia workshop at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation on highway business opportunities.

October 26 2017. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with Anas International Enterprise, organized a workshop focused on “Armenia business opportunities for the highway sector”. The meeting was attended by the Armenian Minister of Transports Vahan Martirosyan and was focused on the North- South road corridor with the aim of creating an Italian partnership lead by Anas International and coordinated by the Farnesina.

Our History

In 2005 Anas began operating on foreign markets providing engineering services to Ministries, Road Authorities and private companies as a consultant or potential partner for the planning, design, maintenance, supervision and control of road and motorway networks.

Starting from 2012 these international activities have been conducted by a subsidiary company, ANAS International Enterprise (AIE), purposely established to develop new business opportunities abroad.
